Fox Mandal Global or FMG is a multidisciplinary Professional Services Firm headquartered in Singapore, and operating from offices around the world with a stronghold in eight Indian cities. It is an offshoot of Fox Mandal & Associates, one of India’s most trusted full-service law firms. We trace our origin to Fox & Mandal, a law firm founded in 1896 in Calcutta, India (now Kolkata) by Mr. J.K. Fox and Mr. G.C. Mandal. The firm evolved through generations with the inception of Fox Mandal & Associates (FMA) in 1986 by fourth generation lawyers, Mr. Shuva Mandal & Mr. Shourya Mandal.
FMA has an outstanding track record of serving and advising eminent industry leaders and government entities for decades. The firm has managed to cement its position as one of the most trusted law firms in the country, rendering its services to elite industry stalwarts of the day.
Fox Mandal continues to carry forward its legacy of service and counsel to this day. From its base in Calcutta, the firm has expanded to all major Indian cities, giving it a distinct pan-Indian character. Our leadership team
Mr. Shuva Mandal is the Chairman of the Fox Mandal Global (FMG) Group and has steered FMGs leadership towards delivering quality service ensuring client satisfaction consistently.
A fourth-generation lawyer from the founder family of Fox & Mandal, he has worked closely with a diverse range of clients across the globe and advised them on business and legal advisory for the past 30 years. Apart from maintaining positive client relationships and driving new acquisitions, he develops and implements the organization’s goals, procedures, and policies. Under his guidance, the organization has forged into new markets and expanded operations while maintaining strong client credence.
Listed as an A list Lawyer by the Indian Business Law Journal consistently for the past three years, his practice is focused on advising clients on inbound investments into India and extends to disposal of companies, private equity and securities transactions, and public offerings of debt and equity.
Mr Mandal is a Director on the Board of several large corporations, besides being entrusted with the responsibility of trusteeship of select organizations. He is enthusiastic about legal education and has supported it through the Fox Mandal Foundation Finishing School. He is also the founder of Orygyn, a start-up incubation center in Bangalore, and supports and mentors various accelerator programs such as the Start-up Leadership Program.
Richard Rekhy is a doyen of the consulting industry and has played a seminal role in shaping the trajectories of various businesses. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he has served as the CEO of KPMG for years and spearheaded the firm in various capacities. He is a veteran with more than three decades of experience and is lauded for his clinical approach to corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls, and business processes across multiple domains.
With over 28 years of experience, he has served clients across various sectors including advertising, oil and gas, and industrial and consumer markets especially the pharmaceuticals, technology, manufacturing, and retail domains. He comes with extensive real-time experience coupled with detailed understanding of corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal audit and business processes re-engineering.
Mr Rekhy is on the National Council of CII and chairs their Northern Region Economic Affairs and Taxation Committee. He is a member of the National Executive Committee of CII for Corporate Governance and on the Board of the American Chambers of Commerce (AMCHAM). In addition, he was recently appointed as the Chairman of Enactus India and is a member of the EMA and Global Board of KPMG International.
A brilliant orator and eminent thought leader, Richard Rekhy has spoken and written on corporate governance, risk management, and leadership on several global platforms. In January 2016, he gave a TEDx Talk on The Higher Purpose of Life.
Dr Shome is an economist of international repute, presently serving as the Chairman of the International Tax Research and Analysis Foundation (ITRAF). He has served at the IMF in various capacities, including Senior Economist at the Office of Managing Director, Chief of Tax Policy, and Director of IMF’s institute in Singapore. He was also Chief Economist at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, United Kingdom, and has provided tax assistance to more than thirty countries.
Currently, his other roles include Member of the Board of Directors, International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), Washington D.C., from 2015; Member of the Academic Board of Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), from 2015; Member, Forum on Economic and Fiscal Policy (FEFP), The Hague, from 2015, and Member of the Audit Advisory Board, Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG), 2015-2017.
